Oh boy, where to start? I absolutely loved this book. The quick burn, the plot, the spice! I loved that the book combined folklore, fantasy and history. The world building was perfect, not so over the top that you get lost like some other fantasy books I have read. The cliffhanger ending just got me. I wish the 2nd book was already out so I could find out what happens next!
If you're looking for a fantasy book that completely pulls you into its world and sticks with you long after you finish, I highly recommend That One Small Spark. The story is captivating, with rich world-building and characters that feel incredibly real. The plot kept me hooked from start to finish, and even days later, I found myself reflecting on the characters’ choices and the imaginative world the Jules created. As an avid fantasy reader, it’s one of my favorites. It’s a fantastic read for anyone who loves a story that stays with you! 5 stars!!!

The romance, the magic, the twists, and the character growth all blended together so perfectly that I never wanted to put it down. Jules has created a world that’s impossible not to get lost in.
The world building, still incredible! The pace, on point! The writing, delightful! The plot... oh hello little twist. It's very hard not to love a book where everyone goes and surprises you. And it's very hard not to want the next book in hand immediately when left "on read" at the ending...
Throughout the book, we have characters with great depth. Some I loved and others I loved to hate. Honestly, that's a true talent and made for a bingeable book! Thank you so much, Jules Dalla-Libera, for writing a brilliant second book that offered me the perfect escape from life. I've already started to recommend it to others before I had even finished!
A completely captivating sequel to That One Small Spark, a fresh feeling romantasy set against both the atmospheric setting of Scotland's witch trials of the 1590s, and the magical kingdom of Faerie.
The characters are amazingly written. They have depth, beliefs, needs and are constantly growing. Really well done! Particularly the main protagonist, Elspeth, who throughout the book you will find yourself cheering on, screaming at or commiserating with, sometimes simultaneously.
So after reading the first book, I immediately went in search and started this book two and seriously its sooooo good. Maybe even better if you can believe it, I absolutely love the characters and vibes in this story. And the ending in this is a bittersweet cliffhanger that had me wanting to toss the kindle. Looking forward the next one
